Matters Within
Within Matter began in 2023. At that time, I completed my studies in aesthetics and art history in Japan, and during my residency at Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park, I began to rethink the inner meanings of glaciers, rocks, clay, and ceramics through material imagination and geological research.
This marked an important turning point in my contemporary artistic practice.

Replication of Creation spans nearly a decade of my practice, centered on Jiao Tai, a Chinese intangible cultural heritage technique.
Drawing on craft knowledge and aesthetics across periods and regions, it asks how repetitive labor can both transmit and generate new cultural meaning and historical narrative.

Path of Pattern
In 2025, after a decade away, I returned to Xiuwu County in Henan—the birthplace of the Jiao Tai, and co-founded the Qianwanjian Art Center with Zuo Jing.
Taking Jiao Tai as a guiding thread, we launched a research-based social practice focused on craft circulation, local life, and collective memory.
